Losing a parent is traumatic for any child anywhere and in countries where poverty is common, millions of these children are left hungry and homeless.
Food and shelter are two of the most important necessities of life, so on the 20th April of every year, the world comes together to mark World Orphans Day.
Islamic Ummah Relief in an effort to help as many orphans as it can, celebrates this day. This year’s fall within Ramadan and we had Iftar with 100 Orphans in Zobgeli, Tamale (Northern Region of Ghana) under the care of Tears of Widows and Orphans Foundation.
